The efficiency of TINUVIN 292 provides significantly extended lifetime to coatings by minimizing paint defects such as cracking and loss of gloss for clear coats and reducing chalking of solid shade coatings.

Ciba® TINUVIN® 328 is a solid UV absorber of the hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole class, specifically developed for coatings. Due to its broad UV absorption, TINUVIN 328 provides efficient protection to coatings and light-sensitive substrates such as wood and plastics.

The product is soluble in most common solvents. It can be used in combination with a light stabilizer of the sterically-hindered amine or aminoether class (HALS) to give coatings superior protection against gloss reduction, cracking, blistering, delamination and color change.

Because the relative low heat resistance of TINUVIN 328 makes it unsuitable for coatings cured at temperatures above 100°C, the product is only recommended for ambient and low temperature cured systems, i.e. air-drying alkyd-based systems. For further information please click the following link.
