EGYSTICK

Cement mortar for the adhesion of ceramic and porcelain and wall cladding tiles

Composition: Egystick is a dry mix composed of cement, well graded aggregate and a number of polymeric and mineral admixtures necessary to achieve the required physical and mechanical properties.

Scope of utilization: Egystick is produced for use in the adhesion of porcelain and ceramic tiles as well as wall cladding tiles on walls coated with cement mortar. It can also be used in filling of space between tiles.

Technical properties:

·         White or grey ready mixed dry powder suitable for use after addition of water only. This dry mix can be produce in different colors upon request.

·         About 30% water is added to the dry mix to obtain a paste of suitable workability.

·         The initial setting time of the paste ranges from 55 to 60 minutes.

·         The paste has good workability suitable for executing layers of 2 to 3 mms in thickness which can be increased according to the leveling condition of the wall.

·         High ability for adhesion to the back side of porcelain and ceramic tiles as well as fair face concrete surface and smooth mortar surface.

·         Egystick has high resistance to water after consolidation.

Method of application:

·         The surface should be cleaned of adhering dust the sprinkled with water.

·         The required amount of water ( 7 - 7.5 lts / sack of powder )  is put in the container then the powder is added gradually to the water followed by proper mixing until obtaining a homogeneous paste of suitable workability.

·         The back side of tiles should be cleaned of dust then wetted.

·         The paste is applied to the wall in suitable thickness or to the back side of the tiles which is then fixed by applying light pressure and knocking to get rid of any air pockets and leveling of the final surface.

Rate of use: from 4 to 6 kgs. / m2 with an average thickness of 2 to 3 mms. or as dictated by the evenness of the surface.

Packages: sacks of 25 kgs. in weight
