Kezit 2200

Modified gypsum for plastering

Composition: Kezit 2200 of calcium sulphate hemihydrate treated by the addition special admixtures which modify the setting time, workability and the properties of the final product as a high quality plastering material.

Properties:

·         The bulk density of the dry powder is 1 kg/lt

·         Setting time ranges from 25 to 50 minutes

·         High ability to adhesion to cement mortar and fair face concrete under coat i.e. do not require any additional preparatory under coat

·         High workability and capable of spreading in thin layers with a thickness of 1 mm.

·         Provides a smooth and hard final surface

·         The final surface resists wetting by water

Method of utilization:

·         The wall should be cleaned of adhering dust the wetted by water

·         Mix Kezit 2200 powder with water at the ratio of 2 part powder : 1 part water. In practice it is recommended to add the powder gradually to the water until it is completely wetted and soaked. The powder – water mixture is left for about 2 minutes to insure wetting of the powder before mechanical (or manual) mixing until obtaining a paste with the appropriate consistency.

·         Spread the paste on the wall with the appropriate thickness (1 to 3 mms). This layer may be left for a period of 10 minutes before final finishing without the addition of water except when necessary.

Rate of use: depends on the condition of the wall surface. The rate is usually about 1 kg/ m2
