A ready mixed dry (colored) cement paint
Composition:
Stucco Rolla is a ready mixed dry powder composed of
· a
number of
mineral binding materials the most important of which is Portland Cement
· well
graded
aggregate composed of inorganic mineral compounds
· polymeric
and mineral admixtures necessary to achieve the desired physical,
mechanical
and chemical properties
· Coloring
oxides.
Scope
of
utilization:
Stucco Rolla is a
cement paint, white or colored , to be applied directly on top of
cement mortar
under-coat in external finishing works & internal decoration. It
can also
be directly applied on concrete surface as well as on clay, cement and
sand-lime brick walls due to possessing of high adhesive properties
Technical characteristics:
· The
product
is in the form of a dry powder with a bulk density of 1.25 tons/ m3
· Ready for direct use after the addition of
water only
· The
initial
setting period of the paste or thick slurry ranges between 55 to 60
minutes
which provides a reasonable period for application
· The
slurry
has high adhesive properties to existing undercoat even fair face
· The
texture
of the final surface range from striated (tree trunk texture) to
granulated
(coarse to fine) according to the water content of the slurry. The
thicker the
slurry the more the tendency to striation and the thinner the slurry
the more
the tendency to fine granulation. Excessive water would destroy the
coherence
of the slurry and prevent the ability to form a layer with the required
thickness of at least 1.5 mms .
· The
finished coat has high resistance to humidity and water and possesses
good
breathability. It has good resistance to prevailing environmental
conditions
Method
of
utilization:
· Add
about
8.5 to 9 liters of water to each sack of 25 kgs to form a thick slurry
of
suitable workability. This amount of water could be increased to about
10
liters if a final fine texture is desired. The slurry may be left to
mature for
a short period of time i.e. between 5 to 10 minutes before application.
· Dust
should
be removed from the surface by using a brush and wetting or washing by
water.
· Apply
the
slurry to the wall and spread it using painting rolls to obtain the
desired
thickness and texture.
· The
final
surface could be sprinkled with water after 24 hours of application to
achieve
proper maturing.
· Easy
application
· Requires
only the addition of water
· Gives
final
surface in one stage only
· Economic
Period
of application:
within 45 minutes after the
addition of water to the dry powder.
Rate
of use:
between 3.5 to 4 kgs / m2. This
rate may slightly increase according to evenness of the wall surface
and the
desired thickness.
Storage:
12 months from the date of
production in shaded and dry atmosphere.
Package:
Sacks 25 kgs
